Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) - Rehab & Long-Term Care

About the role

Advantage Rehab, part of the Corus Health family of companies, is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to provide restorative care for residents of Laguna Rainbow Elder Care Center, located just outside Albuquerque in Paraje on the Laguna Pueblo. Laguna Rainbow Corporation is a non‑profit organization committed to providing exceptional resident care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient’s level of function by utilizing diagnostic and prognostic procedures
• Develop individual plan of care based on patient's personal goals
• Supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with regard to patient care
• Create adaptive devices for use by the patient to achieve their functional therapeutic goals

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from a university accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
• License to practice in the State of New Mexico
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology required of an occupational therapist and its practice application in the treatment of hospice patients at home
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation
