About the role
Deliver and coordinate patient-centered occupational therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements individualized treatment programs based on patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Provides direct therapy using various strategies and functional settings.
- Plans interventions tailored to patients’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, aligning with multidisciplinary care plans.
- Prepares documentation such as evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members regarding patient progress and needs.
- Establishes rapport and collaborates within an interdisciplinary team, including participating in program development and educational activities.
- Participates in professional growth activities and supervises clinical internships.
Key Duties
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy services and modify interventions as needed.
- Document patient progress and communicate with the care team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in departmental initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups, from infants to geriatrics.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
