Occupational Therapist (OT) | Pediatrics

About the role

Deliver and coordinate patient-centered occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements individualized treatment programs based on patient assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Provides direct therapy using various strategies and functional settings.
• Plans interventions tailored to patients’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, aligning with multidisciplinary care plans.
• Prepares documentation such as evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members regarding patient progress and needs.
• Establishes rapport and collaborates within an interdisciplinary team, including participating in program development and educational activities.
• Participates in professional growth activities and supervises clinical internships.

Key Duties

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapy services and modify interventions as needed.
• Document patient progress and communicate with the care team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in departmental initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse age groups, from infants to geriatrics.
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to professional development and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
