Position Highlights

About the Role
Responsible for the daily coordination and delivery of occupational therapy services focusing on conditions and health diagnoses. Implements specific treatment programs for individual patients and patient groups according to occupational therapy principles and department objectives.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific factors for patients from infant through geriatrics.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment programs for patients needing services.
- Evaluates assigned patients using data from records, interviews, observations, and team members.
- Uses selected activities/tasks to promote and maintain health, achieving treatment goals.
- Establishes and modifies intervention goals and strategies based on ongoing evaluations.
- Provides direct therapy services using various functional settings and strategies.
- Plans therapy within the patient’s physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities, coordinating with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
- Prepares documentation such as evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status, progress, and needs.
- Establishes rapport and collaborates with team members throughout the patient’s intervention program.
- Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, in-service meetings, and workshops; shares knowledge with coworkers.
- Evaluates and monitors clinical internships with students from affiliated universities/colleges.
- Participates in departmental program development.
Requirements
- Ability to work specified hours.
- Visual acuity and communication skills adequate to perform position duties, including hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and sounds.
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice (required upon hire).
- 1–3 years of clinical patient care experience (preferred).

Pay
$34.00 – $51.25 per hour, dependent upon experience.
