About the role
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, establish, and conduct occupational therapy treatment on clients to achieve a functional optimum condition and educate them on maintaining this condition in alignment with their personal goals.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently coordinate schedules with the front desk to optimize therapist's time in Winston-Salem.
- Conduct thorough evaluations for new patients in Winston-Salem.
- Timely reassess and update a client's Plan of Care in Winston-Salem.
- Provide therapy to existing clients in Winston-Salem, following prescribed treatment plans.
- Assist with makeup sessions for your caseload and others in Winston-Salem whenever there is availability on your schedule.
- Actively encourage satisfied clients in Winston-Salem to refer their friends and family at every opportunity, including QA checks and discharge visits.
- Discharge clients in Winston-Salem when their treatment is successfully completed.
- Meticulously maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with company guidelines, specific to our Winston-Salem location.
- Collaborate seamlessly as a crucial member of a multidisciplinary team in Winston-Salem to enhance client care.
- Flexibly work in a variety of settings in Winston-Salem, including teletherapy, early intervention, daycares/preschools, schools, and clinics, as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings and team meetings in Winston-Salem.
- Thoroughly record all mentioned functions in a way that ensures accurate production records for Winston-Salem.

Requirements
- Board Certified with NBCOT
- Licensed with the State of North Carolina
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive
- Seasoned in the field of pediatric occupational therapy
- Proficient in assisting children with sensory processing disorders
- Skilled in the application and referencing of Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy techniques
- Adaptable to various work environments, including early intervention, daycares/preschools, schools, and clinics
- Collaborative team player, capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Flexible availability for working hours
- Diligent in maintaining accurate and timely documentation
