About the role

The Occupational Therapist provides direct rehabilitation services within a skilled nursing facility, focusing on long-term care and short-term rehabilitation for a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Establish and adjust functional goals for patients
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants
• Document patient care and progress
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Follow established treatment plans and evaluate patient progress
• Ensure patient safety and confidentiality
• Maintain positive relationships with team members

Requirements

• Current state license/registration as an Occupational Therapist
• NBCOT certification
• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and professionalism
• Good body mechanics and ability to make independent decisions
