About the role
This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance and promote a safety-first culture in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents and lead root cause analysis
- Manage workers' compensation claims
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills
- Monitor hazards such as dust, noise, and ergonomics
- Administer PPE programs
- Provide OSHA-compliant safety training in collaboration with HR
- Lead safety initiatives and serve as the primary safety resource
- Collaborate with production and environmental teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and moving equipment
- Must pass background and drug screening
