About the role
MercyOne Obstetrics & Gynecology- Mason City is a busy practice with immediate volume. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with very flexible scheduling. The position offers great work-life balance and no call, nights, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is in the clinic with occasional surgery
- Work 4.5 days per week
- Participate in the Birth Center with approximately 500-600 births per year
- Teach FM Residents and Medical Students
- Access to in-house specialists including Cardiology, Orthopedics, Reconstructive Surgery, Anesthesiology, etc.
- Located on the main campus with proximity to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy, and Radiology
- Access to Level II NICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses with an on-site blood bank
- Participation in post-graduate education programs including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, and Cardiology Fellowship
Requirements
The candidate must be board certified within 3 years of eligibility. H1B and J1 visa waiver candidates are encouraged to apply. The position offers a 2-year income guarantee of $400,000/year plus productivity incentives, a $370,000 bonus package, and a $120k sign-on bonus plus a $250k retention bonus package. Compensation is highly competitive with excellent benefits including 34 days of PTO when on base, 40 days when on production, annual CME of $6,000, up to $15,000 in moving allowance, Public Student Loan Forgiveness eligibility, health/dental/vision/life insurance, short-term/long-term disability, 403(b) retirement program with employer contribution and matching, and optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan. Employer-paid malpractice and tail coverage is also provided.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school
- Completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible
- Able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges
- Above average communication skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
