About the role

MercyOne Obstetrics & Gynecology- Mason City is a busy practice with immediate volume. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with very flexible scheduling. The position offers a great work-life balance and no call, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility is in the clinic with surgery occurring 4.5 days per week.
• Teaching opportunities include FM Residents and Medical Students.
• Located in a newly remodeled clinic with close proximity to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy, and Radiology.
• Access to in-house specialists such as Cardiology, Orthopedics, Reconstructive Surgery, Anesthesiology, and others.
• Part of a regional health system serving 14 counties with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center as the flagship hospital.
• Includes a Level III Trauma Center with post-graduate education programs.
• Offers a 2-year income guarantee of $400,000/year plus productivity incentives.
• Compensation includes a $370,000 bonus package, $120k sign-on bonus, and $250k retention bonus package.
• Benefits include 34 days of PTO when on base, 40 days when on production, CME funding, up to $15,000 in moving allowance, Public Student Loan Forgiveness eligibility, health/dental/vision/life insurance, short-term/long-term disability, 403(b) retirement program with employer contribution and matching, and optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible.
• Able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above average communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.

• Board certified or board eligible within 3 years of becoming eligible.
