About the Role
The Clinical Assistant Manager advocates for resource allocation to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care aligned with current standards. They assist in managing personnel, budgets, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance while promoting shared decision-making and professional autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Administrative Leadership: Supports development of quality improvement initiatives, provides staff feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and fosters staff participation and professional growth.
- Operations Management: Ensures optimal staffing, maintains a safe environment, participates in hiring, advocates for patients, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Financial Oversight: Identifies resource needs, manages costs, and balances quality care with cost-effectiveness.
- Professional Development: Maintains personal growth, participates in leadership programs, stays current with industry standards, and encourages staff development through education and certifications.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience; 1 year in leadership preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, performance improvement, and accreditation standards.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Current RN licensure; specialty certification within 6 months; BLS required.
