About the role

The Clinical Assistant Manager oversees nursing operations, resource allocation, and staff management to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with current standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Clinical Manager on quality improvement initiatives, staff performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Support staff participation, maintain competency levels, and foster a professional, ethical environment.
• Ensure efficient staffing, patient safety, and a therapeutic environment.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and facilitate patient throughput.
• Manage resources responsibly, balancing quality care with cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain visibility on the unit and support staff growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience and one year in leadership.

Skills

• Organizational knowledge and performance improvement expertise.
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as JCAHO.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications

• Current RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Specialty certification within six months of eligibility.
