Nursing Manager - ER

About the Role

Responsible for managing operations across one or multiple departments, overseeing daily activities, staff supervision, training, and evaluation. Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of care, with possible budgetary accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive nursing care tailored to patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs.
• Manages staff to meet departmental goals, approves timekeeping, evaluates employees, and participates in hiring, orientation, and performance reviews.
• Monitors patient care quality, tracks service performance, and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Assists in budget development, monitors expenses, and manages resource allocation, including supplies and equipment.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, maintains survey readiness, and handles ethical issues and confidentiality.
• Coordinates staffing, schedules, employee development, and supports staff in skill and leadership growth.
• Participates in committees and special projects, manages departmental performance, and maintains accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license, CPR certification, ACLS required.
• 3-5 years of clinical Med/Surg and Telemetry experience, with 2 years of management experience.
• Strong decision-making, accuracy, computer skills, and ability to work under deadlines.
