Nursing Manager (RN) - ER

About the role

The Nurse Manager oversees the safe and efficient operation of the assigned department(s), ensuring high-quality patient care, staff management, budgeting, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily department operations in compliance with standards and guidelines.
• Develop, review, and implement program goals, protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff on emergency and unit protocols.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and respond to current issues affecting care quality.
• Ensure staff are trained and certified, including mandatory certifications during orientation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; pursuing a Master’s (MSN preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in acute care, including at least 1 year in the specialty area.
• Management experience required.
• Valid Multi-State RN License; BLS CPR certification; mandatory departmental certifications.
