About the role

We are seeking part-time Caregivers to care for children ages infant to two years old in a classical and Catholic classroom at our center in St. Leo, Florida. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required. The right applicant may have experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school (though not required).

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided during these hours.

Responsibilities

  • Care for children ages infant to two years old in a classroom setting.
  • Prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment.
  • Follow provided curriculum and grading guidelines.
  • Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
  • Attend mandatory training prior to working in the classroom (August 11, 12, or 13, 2026, 8am-5pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies welcome).

Requirements

  • Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
  • Deep love for the Catholic faith and living it day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
  • Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
  • Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
  • Complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
  • Available to work Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm during the academic year.
