Catholic Nursery/PK2 Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking part-time Caregivers to care for children ages infant to two years old in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week at our center in St. Leo, Florida. This is an hourly position with childcare/nursery provided.

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors are trained to deliver instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Care for infants and toddlers (ages infant to two years) in a classroom setting.
• Prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment.
• Adhere to RCA’s curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Maintain a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Requirements

• Deep love for the Catholic faith and living it day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• Must pass a background check and complete RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
• Must be available to attend mandatory training on August 11, 12, or 13, 2026 (8am–5pm; no childcare provided, nursing babies welcome).

No teaching certification or formal experience is required. We welcome applicants with experience in homeschooling, ministry, religious education, or classical/private schooling, though these are not mandatory.

Schedule

• Academic year: Mondays and Thursdays, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm.
• Up to 14 hours per week.
