Catholic Nursery/PK Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking part-time Nursery/PK Caregivers to care for children ages infant through 2-years old in a classical and Catholic space for approximately 14 hours per week in San Antonio, TX for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities

• Care for children ages infant through 2-years old
• Provide instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays
• Prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment
• Attend one mandatory training day on August 2, 3, or 6, 2026 (TBD)

Requirements

• No teaching certification nor formal teaching experience required
• Teaching everything you need to know will be provided
• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children, ministry in your Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school is helpful but not required

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Good organization
• Timeliness
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship
• A deep love for the Catholic faith

Skills

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church
• Willingness to attend one mandatory training day on August 2, 3, or 6, 2026 (TBD)
