Catholic Nursery Caregiver
We are seeking a part-time Nursery/PK2 Caregiver to assist in a classical and Catholic classroom for the 2026-2027 academic year for up to 14 hours per week at our center near Houston in Spring, TX.
About the role
Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. You do not need a teaching certification nor formal teaching experience to apply—we will teach you everything you need to know. The position is hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided during these hours.
Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a nursery/PK2 classroom for young children in a classical and Catholic educational setting.
- Support classroom management and instruction as trained by RCA.
Requirements
- Deep love for the Catholic faith and living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
- Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
- Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- Must pass a clear background check and complete mandatory training modules.
Qualifications
The right applicant may have experience in any of the following (though not required):
- Working with babies or young children.
- Ministry in a Catholic parish.
- Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
- Teaching your own children.
- Teaching in a classical or private school.
Schedule
- Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the academic year.
