Catholic Nursery/PK2 Caregiver

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Caregiver for our Nursery/PK2 classroom in a classical and Catholic educational setting. This position is for up to 14 hours per week at our center in Austin, TX, for the 2026-2027 academic year. No teaching certification or formal experience is required—we will provide all necessary training.

The ideal candidate may have experience in homeschooling, working with homeschool children, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, or classical/private school instruction, though these are not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision in the Nursery/PK2 classroom.
• Follow provided curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Adhere to Regina Caeli Academy’s standards for instruction and classroom management.
• Uphold a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Requirements

• Deep love for and commitment to living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life.
• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• Availability to work Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
• Must attend one staff training day on August 4, 5, or 6 (TBD) from 8 am to 5 pm (no childcare provided, but nursing infants are welcome).
• Complete staff training videos and assessments.
• Pass a background check and complete RCA Safe Child training prior to starting.

Schedule

• Part-time, up to 14 hours per week.
• Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• One full-day staff training in early August (date TBD).

Childcare/nursery is provided during regular hours. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. See Regina Caeli Academy’s website for vacation and holy day details.
