Nurse Supervisor II (Screening & Admissions) - Central Regional Hospital
About the role
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is a large agency responsible for various health and social services. The position is located at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) on the Screening and Admissions Unit (SAU).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with all customers to ensure patients are processed safely.
- Process referrals accurately and divert inappropriate admissions.
- Provide psychiatric mental-health care and direct supervision to staff.
- Assist the ACNO in planning, organizing, managing daily operations, quality assurance, HR management, and training.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
- Three years of nursing experience, including one year in a Nurse Supervisor capacity.

Benefits
A sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval. The position is exempt and must report or stay over during adverse weather events. Eligibility for the sign-on bonus requires working 30 to 40 hours per week and meeting certain criteria.
Pay
The pay range is $77,076.00 - $127,175.00, with a recruitment range of $110,000.00 - $118,297.00. The position is exempt and subject to the State Human Resources Act.
Schedule
The position is full-time with normal work hours of Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, with some rotation and holidays required, and 24-hour responsibility for efficient and effective nursing service delivery.
