Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Health - Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center
About the role
The Nurse Practitioner will rotate in Clark and Westfield locations affiliated with Overlook Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide preventive, gynecologic, reproductive, and low-risk obstetric care, including wellness examinations, early pregnancy management, prenatal care for low-risk obstetric patients, patient education, contraceptive counseling, and management of common women’s health conditions.
- May include office-based procedures such as IUD insertion and removal and endometrial biopsies, based on the candidate’s training, competency, and organizational privileging requirements.
Requirements
- Board certified and credentialed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the State of New Jersey with appropriate national certification.
- Master’s degree (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) program.
- Current Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) certification required.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
- Current CDS and DEA registration (or eligible to obtain upon hire).
- 3–5 years of Women’s Health experience preferred.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
