Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Full Time - Occupational Health
About the role
This position is located at both Sheboygan and Plymouth Occupational Health, rotating between the two sites.
Responsibilities
- Affords assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans based on age, acuity, and clinical condition.
- Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies and prescribes pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions and therapies.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and communicates with health or community agencies.
- Performs office or hospital procedures within scope of practice and complies with specialty practice guidelines.
- Participates in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives, and attends departmental meetings and committees.
- Trains and mentors new team members and health care professionals.
- Maintains clinical and professional skills and advances the profession.
Requirements
- Active RN license and national board certification in clinical practice and populations served.
- Active DEA registration and, if Illinois practice, active Illinois Controlled Substance License.
- Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as required by clinical practice.
- Master’s degree in nursing.
- No prior experience required.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record. Excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate and establish relationships with others. Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Skills
Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span. Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
