About the Role
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) Resident, a new graduate nurse with less than 6 months of experience, supporting patient care through a structured 12-month Nurse Residency Program.
Responsibilities
- Complete orientation phases including system, core nursing, specialty onboarding, and monthly NRP sessions.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with standards, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, respecting cultural diversity and individual needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including preceptors and educators, to develop critical thinking and clinical skills.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical practices, and system policies.
- Participate in specialty/service line programs and professional development activities.
- Support quality patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and effective care coordination.
- Work under supervision of unit leaders, educators, and preceptors to ensure safe, compassionate, and culturally competent care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
- Certifications: BLS or BLS Instructor required upon hire.
- Less than six months of clinical experience.
