Responsibilities
- Support the Director of New Business Development in executing strategic business development initiatives and customer growth opportunities.
- Manage customer communications, inquiries, follow-ups, and relationship-building activities with prospective and existing clients.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, industry research, referrals, trade shows, and customer outreach.
- Cook up and track customer requests, sample submissions, quotations, project timelines, and pending action items.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Project Management, Operations, Customer Service, Regulatory, and other internal departments to support customer needs and project progression.
- Lead internal coordination efforts related to new customer opportunities and ensure timely follow-up and communication.
- Prepare and present capability presentations, innovation proposals, product recommendations, and customer meeting materials.
- Support customer visits, presentations, plant tours, and onsite meetings.
- Manage trade show planning and execution, including booth coordination, lead tracking, customer meetings, and post-show follow-up activities.
- Monitor and maintain organized records of customer communications, lead pipelines, sample activity, and business development reports.
- Aid in forecasting potential business opportunities and provide regular updates to management regarding pipeline status and customer activities.
- Support the transition of awarded projects to Project Management and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution.
- Represent Englewood Lab professionally at customer meetings, networking events, trade shows, and industry events.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members or associates as needed.
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, customer service, project management, cosmetics, beauty, personal care, OTC products, or contract manufacturing industries preferred.
- Experience within cosmetics manufacturing, CDMO/CMO, skincare, or beauty industry strongly preferred.
- Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and customer requests simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to prepare professional presentations and customer-facing materials.
- Strong understanding of project coordination and customer support processes.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and company events as needed.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.
- Interest in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, OTC products, and contract manufacturing preferred.
Compensations & Benefits
- Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000K
