Neuro Imaging Research Technician I - Psychiatry
About the role
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time Neuro Imaging Research Tech I. The tech will assist numerous phases of multiple studies led by Dr. Michael Perino, and duties will include administering assessments, scheduling participants, and assisting with fMRIs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer neurobehavioral assessments for participants aged 4 years to 14 years, including set-up, providing age-appropriate instructions for child/parent, and entering data in a timely manner.
- Screen, consent, and schedule participants via phone and in-person as research protocols dictate.
- Auxiliary with neuroimaging studies for child and adolescent participants. Guide parents and children through the process by providing thorough instructions and responding appropriately to subject concerns.
- Organize and manage subject databases, data entry, tracking, etc.
- Write and modify IRB protocols.
- Interact with children of all ages in various experimental settings.
- Auxiliary with the training and supervision of student volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Physical Effort: Typically sitting at desk or table. Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing). Equipment: Office equipment.
Education
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.

Salary Range
$16.54 - $22.35 / Hourly
