NC Pre-K Lead Teacher
About the role
We are looking for dedicated professionals to oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum. Your role involves creating a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families, fostering strong bonds and supporting their comprehensive development.
You will design and execute learning experiences that encompass physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression. You'll conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress toward School Readiness Goals, tailoring the curriculum to meet individual needs, including those of children with disabilities. Upholding health and safety protocols is paramount, ensuring a secure and clean environment by adhering to strict procedures for hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the NC PreK classroom
- Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements
- Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly
- Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences
- Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments
Pay
$30,000–$50,000 annually, following state-guided NC PreK Teacher salary based on years of experience and WORKS level education credential.
