About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated NC Pre-K Lead Teacher to lead classroom activities, adhere to NC Division of Child Development and Early Education standards, and align with the NC Pre-K Curriculum objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families.
  • Foster strong bonds and support comprehensive development in physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that cover a broad range of developmental areas.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress towards School Readiness Goals, tailoring the curriculum to meet individual needs, including those with disabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, maintaining a secure and clean environment through hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with children in a pre-kindergarten setting.
  • Knowledge of NC Pre-K Curriculum and NC Division of Child Development and Early Education standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with child development theories and practices.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Pass a background check.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Compensation varies based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
