(Nashville) Stylist / Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Plato's Closet is seeking full and part-time Stylists to join our team. If you're passionate about fashion and enjoy interacting with others, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers immediately and determine their needs.
• Handle all transactions professionally and enthusiastically.
• Be familiar with products, brands, and prices to make product recommendations.
• Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale.
• Buy used product to reinforce customer purchases and sales to the store.
• Invite customers to return to the store to buy, sell, or trade and promote the store's image.
• Price and ticket items based on established guidelines.
• Restock the store according to the merchandising plan.
• Maintain store displays and adhere to store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures.
• Operate a computerized Point of Sale (POS) system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocols.

Requirements

• Exhibit appropriate selling and buying behaviors.
• Be able to lift at least 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

We prefer to promote from within and provide opportunities for successful Stylists to develop into Team Leaders, Assistant Managers, and even Store Managers. Our entire management team started out as Stylists and has been part of our team for years.
