What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating small-group phonics sessions for gifted K–2 learners, with each lesson constructed from live student data rather than a pre-packaged curriculum
- Administering running records, evaluating reading proficiency, and organizing differentiated instructional cohorts independently
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group motivational coaching through school-based currency, leaderboards, and direct relationship-building to inspire ambitious goals in adaptive platforms
- Monitoring live student advancement in adaptive learning systems and adjusting instruction immediately as performance data shifts
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree in reading instruction OR formal reading certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, CERI, LETRS, or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 2 years delivering small-group early literacy instruction to students in grades K–2
- Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, create instructional groups, and develop differentiated lessons independent of pre-written materials
- Direct experience working with gifted or advanced learners (gifted & talented programs, academic enrichment camps, or specialized educational settings)
- Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning technologies and interpreting performance data from those systems
- Available to work on-site at the GT campus in Georgetown (Austin), TX. Relocation assistance is available
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Advanced Orton-Gillingham or multisensory structured literacy training that extends beyond foundational certification
- Hands-on experience with adaptive reading technologies (such as Lexia, Raz-Kids, or comparable K–2 platforms)
- Documented success coaching students performing well above their assigned grade level
- Experience leveraging student data dashboards to inform real-time instructional choices

Working with us
- This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position
- The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record
- The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year
- The payment period is weekly
