We boldly go. Scope: Trane is seeking a dynamic and results-driven dedicated Business Development Manager to join the MTA-USA sales team. This role will focus on developing our industrial process chiller distributor sales network for the MTA brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining strong relationships, and expanding our MTA distributor network within the assigned territory. This role requires a deep understanding of distribution sales industrial processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in setting and reaching sales goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand our industrial distributor base per geography and distributor/reseller account.Identify and pursue new distribution/reseller opportunities by researching and analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting distributor relationships by understanding their technical requirements and providing the appropriate MTA industrial chiller equipment solutions.Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for existing and new channel partners.Collaborate with commercial, technical and operational support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.Provide feedback to sales and product management on distributor needs and market trends to support continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or a related field from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial equipment sales; background in chillers or other adjacent products (process temperature control, refrigeration, etc.) preferredStrong technical acumen in industrial process applications and commercial expertise in sales processes with multistep channels.Proven track record of both existing distributor growth and new distributor acquisition with target setting and attainment.Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools (Tableau or equivalent)Willingness to travel 50% or greater as required within the assigned territory.Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
