About the Role

The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations using advanced 3T, mobile, and upright scanners in a patient-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain diagnostic images across all age groups
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients
  • Adhere to safety and infection control standards
  • Monitor patient comfort
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with healthcare team
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and quality control
  • Support departmental operations

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
  • ARRT (R) or ARMRIT registration (or obtain within 1 year)
  • South Carolina Radiation license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations

Physical & Technical Requirements

  • Ability to perform tasks while standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Use both hands and arms continuously
  • Good vision and hearing
  • Capable of working in confined or elevated spaces
  • Proficiency in motor skills, depth perception, and color discrimination
  • Able to lift, push, and carry patients and objects
  • Work with advanced MRI technology
