About the Role
The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations using advanced 3T, mobile, and upright scanners in a patient-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain diagnostic images across all age groups
- Prepare, position, and educate patients
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards
- Monitor patient comfort
- Maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with healthcare team
- Ensure equipment maintenance and quality control
- Support departmental operations
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT (R) or ARMRIT registration (or obtain within 1 year)
- South Carolina Radiation license
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
Physical & Technical Requirements
- Ability to perform tasks while standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Use both hands and arms continuously
- Good vision and hearing
- Capable of working in confined or elevated spaces
- Proficiency in motor skills, depth perception, and color discrimination
- Able to lift, push, and carry patients and objects
- Work with advanced MRI technology
