Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts independent studies—including portable and on-call exams—and oversees shift operations to ensure smooth workflow. They serve as a clinical resource, troubleshooting issues, mentoring staff, and acting as a liaison between the team and supervisor. In the absence of supervision, they assume leadership responsibilities and assist in training new staff or students. Responsibilities include: Preparing patients and equipment for procedures.Performing imaging studies independently and in various settings.Managing shift workflow, assignments, and troubleshooting technical issues.Providing expert support, problem-solving, and mentorship to colleagues.Communicating effectively with the team and maintaining supplies. Qualifications & Skills: Associate degree or Trade School equivalency.Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience is a plus.Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), and certifications like RTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.Preferred: 5-10 years of experience and CPR certification.
