About the role
Seeking a Full-Time Charge MRI Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting studies independently, and overseeing shift operations, including workflow and assignments. The technologist acts as a clinical resource, mentors staff and students, and ensures quality control. In the absence of supervision, they assume supervisory responsibilities and serve as a liaison between the team and management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures
- Perform studies independently and in various settings
- Manage shift operations and troubleshoot technical issues
- Mentor staff and assist in staff development
- Ensure proper communication and supply management
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- 2–5 years of experience; preferred 5–10 years
- Licenses and certifications such as RTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES, and IEMA (excluding MRI for Illinois)
- CPR certification preferred
