About the role
This full-time overnight MRI Radiology Technologist position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients. The role includes preparing patients and equipment, executing studies independently, and overseeing shift operations to ensure smooth workflow. The technologist serves as a clinical resource, troubleshooting issues, mentoring staff, and acting as a liaison between the team and supervisor. Responsibilities also include maintaining supplies, problem-solving complex exams, and delegating tasks to support department needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
- Perform studies independently, including portable and on-call exams.
- Oversee shift operations, assign tasks, and adjust priorities.
- Act as a clinical expert, troubleshoot, and mentor staff and students.
- Ensure proper communication and maintain supplies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency.
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience; preferred experience 5 to 10 years.
- Certifications such as RTR, CT, MR, and others are necessary.
