Mortgage Branch Manager II

Responsibilities

• Directs sales and business development to achieve overall profitability
• Manages and leads employee development, ongoing coaching, and performance management
• Recruits top talent in the market, hires, trains, motivates, supports, and conducts performance evaluations
• Prepares for the continued growth of the center
• Assists consumers in obtaining or applying to obtain a residential mortgage loan
• Originate Loans: Takes customer loan applications, analyzes customer financial information, negotiates rates and terms, and monitors and manages work flow to ensure timely closings
• Maintains product knowledge and stays updated on market conditions
• Monitors and ensures compliance with loan regulations
• Manages and maintains relationships with referral sources and follows up on leads
• Serves as a mortgage loan advisor to the customer base and discusses available options and products

Qualifications

• Two or more full-time direct reports
• Knowledge of federal, state, regulatory, and company policies and procedures
• Ability to negotiate rates and terms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in managing budgets and income goals
• Ability to monitor and manage loan quality and customer expectations
• Knowledge of loan origination processes and procedures
