Mortgage Branch Manager
About the role
Maintains mortgage loan activities in a branch office. Solicits and originates investment quality loans that are acceptable to the company’s chosen investors and agencies. Develops and maintains a strong client referral base by selling the company’s loan products and services to meet the needs of its client base such as realtors, builders, home buyers, CPS’s, financial planners and others. Provides customers with mortgage loan information and recommends product options. Coordinates origination from application processing to closing of residential loans. Participates in recruiting activities for the branch. Monitors trends and developments in the local real estate market and changes to private and government-insured mortgages. Ensures all lending policies and regulations are followed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain your own personal origination activities and perform to expectations without sacrificing people oversight.
- Coach, develop, and mentor the activities and growth of all team members.
- Remain informed of trends and developments in the national real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and agency oriented mortgages.
- Complete all required administrative tasks associated with supervising employees and a physical office.
- Ensure credit recommendations are approved by providing supportive and documented presentations.
- Regularly work with the Market Growth team to actively recruit Loan Officers for the Branch.
- Follow current loans to ensure conformity and compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
- Train new team members in various aspects of the mortgage industry, as well as our adopted sales process.
- Maintain licensing standards in accordance with company and industry.
- Maintain a positive and customer friendly work environment.
- Perform such duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned.
- Absorb and communicate the latest corporate policies, procedures, and developments.
- Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings (including travelling to headquarters quarterly), Sales Calls & Training Events.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of sales lending experience required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, eagerness to learn and excel working in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent leadership and management skills. Knowledge in lending and credit markets required. Some recruiting experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Superiority general computer and analytical skills. Experience working in a CRM. Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams) experience required, experience with Empower (Loan Origination System) or similar Loan Origination System required.
- Training: Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Participate in sales leadership and FAQ calls. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- License: Active NMLS License (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) Required.
Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
- Ability to maintain an active social media profile required.
- Ability to follow all legal rules and regulations surrounding the mortgage industry.
- Ability to coach and provide expertise on all loan related matters.

Schedule
Shift: 8 hours, M-F. General Business Hours: M-F 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
