Mobile Crisis Mental Health Peer Specialist - Part time

About the role

This position provides Peer support services within the Mental Health Crisis Services to adult clients; offering support and hope to individuals with mental illness by sharing their story and helping them to discover their strengths.

Responsibilities

• Helping break down barriers to community resources
• Providing encouragement for involvement in community activities that support clients' goals and interests
• Serving as a non-clinical support during crisis calls
• Offering in-home peer support

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher
• Certification as a Mental Health Peer Specialist in the state of Minnesota or by Recovery Innovations
• The use of a personal automobile for transportation for business-related travel
• The ability to maintain clean driving records, possess a current driver's license, and have auto insurance coverage meeting Canvas Health's insurance policy limits

Pay

Salary Level I: Base Salary: $17.91 - $20.74/hourly
Level II: Base Salary also meets criteria for a Mental Health Practitioner: $26.23 - $30.37/hourly

Daytime, Monday - Friday
Part-time, 20 hours per week
