Mobile Crisis Family Peer Specialist - Part-Time
About the role
This position provides Family Peer support services within the Mental Health Crisis Services to clients 5 until 18 years of age and their families. Provide services to increase the child's ability to function in the child's home, school, and community. Provide nonadversarial advocacy to a child and the child's family that encourages partnership and promotes the child's positive change and growth. Support families in advocating for culturally appropriate services for a child in each treatment setting. Assist parents in developing coping and problem-solving skills. Educate parents about mental illnesses and community resources, including resources that connect parents with similar experiences to one another.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher
- Have raised or are currently raising a child with a mental illness
- Successfully complete the Minnesota Department of Human Services-approved Certified Family Peer Specialist Training and Certification exam
Qualifications
- Certified family peer specialist programs must operate within an existing mental health community provider.

- Ability to drive a personal automobile for business-related travel

Pay
- Level I Base Salary: $17.91 - $20.74/hourly
- Level II Base Salary also meets criteria for a Mental Health Practitioner: $26.23 - $30.37/hourly
