About the role
The Mine Site Administrator supports the Project Department at Copper World, Inc. under the direction of the Mine Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support, including meeting scheduling, travel coordination, and correspondence.
- Maintaining and submitting site leadership expense reports.
- Managing and updating records, documents, and filing systems related to project activities.
- Preparing presentations, spreadsheets, and reports as required by management.
- Aiding in budget preparation and financial record management.
- Scheduling and coordinating daily operations.
- Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Cooking, lodging, and transportation coordination for site personnel.
- Managing office supplies, equipment, and site infrastructure.
- Facilitating team meetings and supporting site communication initiatives.
Health & Safety
- Assisting the Health & Safety Manager in collecting, verifying, and recording daily production hours.
- Preparing quarterly MSHA reports and ensuring timely submission.
- Aiding in tracking, documenting, and managing worker compensation claims.
Data Management and Reporting
- Ensuring accurate data entry for production hours, incident reports, and other relevant safety metrics.
- Compiling data to generate regular and ad-hoc reports on safety performance, production hours, and other project metrics.
- Coordinating with various departments to gather information for reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Compliance and Record Keeping
- Organizing and maintaining departmental files, both electronic and hard copy, for quick access and regular audits.
- Tracking compliance deadlines and ensuring all required documentation and submissions are up-to-date.
- Maintaining site and departmental websites.
- Maintaining up-to-date personnel records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of MSHA regulations, worker compensation processes, and safety reporting requirements is an asset.
- Proficiency in Google Workplace applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently or in a team.
- Maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, with experience in mining or industrial environments preferred.
Qualifications
