Mid-Level Corporate Associate

About the role

Herrick, Feinstein LLP is seeking a Corporate Associate with 4-5 years of experience to join its New York office. The role involves handling mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and financing transactions, and supporting the firm’s nationally recognized Sports Law practice by assisting with transactional matters for professional sports teams, leagues, owners, and related entities. The position offers hands‑on responsibility, client exposure, and meaningful mentorship within a collegial firm culture.

Responsibilities

• Handle mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
• Work on financing transactions.
• Support the Sports Law practice, assisting with transactional matters for professional sports teams, leagues, owners, and related entities.
• Manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• 4‑5 years of post‑law‑school experience.
• Substantial experience handling mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
• Comfortable working on financing transactions.
• Experience with transactional matters for sports teams, leagues, owners, or related entities (Sports Law practice).
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Capacity to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Pay

The range of base salary the Firm reasonably expects to pay for this role is $250,000 – $275,000. The actual base salary within this range will depend upon the number of years out of law school, experience, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. This range does not include other forms of compensation or benefits that may be offered in connection with the job.
