Mid-Atlantic Branch Manager

As the Mid Atlantic Branch Manager, you will produce and underwrite new and renewal commercial bond business while maintaining and building productive relationships with our network of independent agents and brokers. This role requires a self-motivated individual who will cultivate and maintain a profitable commercial book of business by using sound judgment when assessing risk and providing excellent service to our agents and customers. You will be responsible for maintaining our current surety book of business and expanding it in the Mid Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of underwriters and support personnel to maximize gross premium and profitability for a territory.
• Establish and execute a strategic marketing plan to build a sustainable book of profitable business in the territory.
• Enhance the reputation of Markel Surety by consistently demonstrating value-added underwriting expertise and customer-focused service to all constituents.
• Identify and develop underwriting talent to maintain continuity and a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Pay

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The national average salary range for the VP, Branch Manager is $162,800 - $223,850 with 35% incentive.
