MEP Superintendent - Commercial

About the role

The MEP Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects in commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises a team of MEP contractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to MEP systems.
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, and other trades to resolve design conflicts and implement MEP solutions.
• Manages the procurement process for MEP materials and equipment.
• Oversees the installation and commissioning of MEP systems to meet client and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
