About the role
The MEP Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects in commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervises a team of MEP contractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to MEP systems.
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, and other trades to resolve design conflicts and implement MEP solutions.
- Manages the procurement process for MEP materials and equipment.
- Oversees the installation and commissioning of MEP systems to meet client and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP construction management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
