About the role
The MEP Assistant Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of MEP systems
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues
- Manage project budgets and schedules
- Train and mentor junior staff members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or construction management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other MEP software
- Experience with project management tools such as Primavera P6
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
