About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis calls and conducting mobile crisis interventions
  • Performing risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
  • Providing brief crisis counseling and follow-up services
  • Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and community locations
  • Responding to emergency situations including potential suicides
  • Gathering information from interviews and records
  • Connecting clients to community resources and support systems
  • Maintaining relationships with law enforcement, courts, and community partners
  • Documenting all client interactions per regulatory standards
  • Identifying service gaps and suggesting improvements
  • Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
  • At least one year of experience working with mental health clients preferred
  • Knowledge of community resources and legal statutes (Chapters 34, 51, and 55)
  • Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to respond within an hour to crisis locations in Adams or Juneau Counties
