Mental Health Crisis Worker - Hourly + Shift Stipend

About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

• Responding to crisis calls and providing mobile crisis response
• Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
• Offering brief crisis counseling and follow‑up services
• Meeting clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and community locations
• Responding to potential suicide or emergency calls
• Gathering information, assessing client needs, and connecting clients to community resources
• Maintaining relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
• Documenting client interactions in compliance with applicable regulations
• Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
• Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices related to crisis services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
• Preferred minimum of one year experience working with mental health clients
• Knowledge of community resources and relevant statutes
• Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and remain professional under pressure
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within 1 hour in the designated counties

Additional Details

• Flexible on‑call schedule with 8 or 16 hour shifts, including overnight and weekend shifts
