Mental Health Crisis Worker - Hourly Rate + Shift Stipend

About the role

We are seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on‑call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in Adams and Juneau Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis calls
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Offering brief crisis counseling
  • Following up with clients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, and law enforcement facilities
  • Gathering information and connecting clients to community resources
  • Maintaining relationships with partners
  • Documenting interactions
  • Supporting continuous improvement of crisis services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Preferred minimum of one year experience working with mental health clients
  • Knowledge of community resources and relevant laws (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
  • Strong crisis assessment, decision‑making, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally under pressure
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond within an hour to crisis locations

Schedule

Flexible on‑call schedule including overnight and weekend shifts.
