About the role
The Member Service Hybrid Agent (MSHA) position blends the responsibilities of a Teller and a Member Service Agent. This role requires detailed product and credit report knowledge, delivering high-level service to members, and achieving strong sales performance while maintaining high member satisfaction. The MSHA provides expert financial counseling, identifies cross-sale opportunities, and processes various transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Extended hours, including Saturdays, are required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Delta Community Credit Union maintains a positive image through accurate account handling and superior member service.
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Educate members on digital banking solutions such as mobile, online, Zelle, and ATM.
- Identify financial needs and promote, recommend, and cross-sell products and services with integrity.
- Process consumer loan applications, including reviewing and analyzing applications and supporting documents.
- Open, close, and perform maintenance on member accounts, including IRA and HSA contributions and distributions.
- Process and balance various monetary transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, and cash advances.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, including fraud, money laundering, elder abuse, and other financial crimes.
- Serve as a Notary Public when directed by management.
- Maintain dual control protocols and assist management with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational tasks.
- Cover concierge desk duties and assist with branch opening/closing procedures.
- Complete Shared Branching transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and mortgage payments.
- Scan checks and negotiable instruments for processing.
- Maintain security of cash drawer, negotiable instruments, and confidential member information.
- Develop and maintain strong credit union relationships while demonstrating knowledge of Delta Community products and services.
- Remain flexible in daily work schedule and assist multiple branch offices in the Atlanta area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of customer service and/or sales experience.
- 6+ months of cash handling experience.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and work accurately with numbers.
- Comfortable working with little to no supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit/stand for approximately 8 hours a day.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including Saturdays, and relieve multiple branch offices.
- Compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Finance or related field.
- 1+ years of Teller experience.
- 1+ years of credit union or financial services experience.
- 1+ years of loan experience.
- Notary Public certification.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- Symitar experience.
- Knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union policies and procedures.
