Medicare Sales Agent - Hybrid in Roanoke, VA

About the role

The role involves answering incoming calls, providing information, and selling insurance products. It requires obtaining necessary state insurance licenses, flexible scheduling, and the ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and convert callers to qualified leads and sales
• Navigate multiple computer systems to document member information
• Explain product differences and assist in product selection
• Complete enrollment applications over the phone
• Meet performance goals in areas of performance, attendance, and consumer experience
• Obtain all necessary state insurance licenses during training
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of customer service/sales experience
• Ability to work regular shifts, including weekends and evenings
• Live within a commutable distance to the Roanoke, VA office

• Within 30 days of starting, must obtain all appropriate state insurance licenses (may be completed during training)
• Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts, including the training period, with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule and work overtime and/or weekends as needed

Skills

Knowledge of computer systems and Windows PC applications, familiarity with sales techniques, and ability to adapt to different communication styles are preferred.

Pay

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $24.04 per hour, with the possibility of bonuses based on sales performance. The total compensation is determined by the ability to sell and deliver a great customer experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexibility, operating hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 7:30pm local time. Rotational weekend work (Saturday/Sundays) required during training period. After training, employees will enjoy the opportunity to work from home up to 3 business days per week.

Sign-On Bonus

Up to $2,000 for unlicensed external/internal applicants, and up to $3,000 for licensed external/internal applicants.
