Medical Staff Coordinator I
About the role
Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
Responsibilities

- Facilitate all aspects of credentialing
- Apply, reappoint, proctor, and assess competencies for physicians
- Interact positively and professionally with physicians and hospital management staff
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent education/experience
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years technical/administrative experience required
- Medical Staff Department experience preferred
- Strong computer, communication, and writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services, or acute care hospital experience preferred
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree preferred or equivalent education/experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years technical/administrative experience required
- Training: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.00 to $33.65.
Schedule
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
