Medical Staff Coordinator I
Responsibilities
- Function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office.
- Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager.
- Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies.
- Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years technical/administrative experience required.
- Medical Staff Department experience preferred.
- Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $25.00 to $33.65. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
