POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable and flexible individual to fill a dual position as both a Patient Services Representative (PSR) and Medical Assistant (MA) in our Roseville/Fair Oaks offices. This full-time position requires working as a PSR on designated days and as a Medical Assistant on others, providing comprehensive support to both our patients and clinical team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Services Representative Duties:

  • Greet patients
  • Check in patients and assist with individual concerns, as they arise
  • Collect appropriate information including insurance overview, co-pay and deductible assignment and open balances
  • Performs administrative tasks and must be cross trained on medical assistant responsibilities to provide support as needed
  • Other tasks, as assigned

Medical Assistant Duties:

  • Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records
  • Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight and pulse
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam
  • Sterilize necessary instruments
  • Manage medical supplies and materials and work with Area Supervisor to order necessary inventory
  • Take appropriate x-rays

QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare position preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing daily responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and patient-centered approach
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
