About the role
The Medical Assistant/Patient Representative provides healthcare services under the guidance of physicians or Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Responsibilities
- Perform routine clinical procedures
- Assist with patient education
- Document information accurately in health records
- Complete other assigned tasks within certification scope
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
